I had a 2014 V strom 1000, and have almost 120,000 Super Tenere miles so far, (on more than one of them.) The v strom was a good bike, but quality of manufacture, parts, etc, is significantly better on the Yamaha. The Suzuki engine reminds me of the previous bandit 1250 engine; great low and mid range torque but flat on the top end.
